Yes! Heard connects with almost every major bank, financial institution, and credit union in North America. Heard connects to your bank through our integration with Plaid, a secure financial connection software used by apps such as Venmo. Plaid is compatible with over 12,000 financial institutions.
Heard relies on your business accounts, including credit cards, which are connected via Plaid, so we can automatically sync your transactions for bookkeeping. For this reason, Heard requires that at least one financial account be connected to proceed with onboarding.
The account connected to Heard doesn’t have to be classified as a business account by your financial institution, but it does need to be used solely for business transactions.
Connect an account
- On the left-side panel, click on Your Name, then click Settings.
- Go to the Financial Institutions tab
- Click the + New Financial Institution button
- In the pop-up window, enter the phone number associated with your bank account
- Search for and click on your financial institution.

- Then log in with the credentials you use to access your accounts in your financial institution's online banking portal.
- Proceed through the steps to complete the connection.
What if my bank cannot connect through Plaid?
If your bank does not have an integration with Plaid, please reach out to our team to establish a connection to Heard.
Why am I seeing a different phone number when attempting to connect my bank?
