The Balance summary section shows your starting and ending Stripe balance for the selected date range, along with a high-level summary of your activity during the period. Your balance includes available, pending, and reserved funds, if applicable. To download this report, please follow the steps below.
If you solely use Stripe through your SimplePractice account, you only need to upload the SimplePractice Annual Financial Activity Report. In the Complete Year-End Bookkeeping module for annual taxes, you can mark Stripe document requests as "not relevant" to proceed.
- Log in to https://dashboard.stripe.com/reports/hub
- Under “Track money movement,” click Balance Summary
- Select January to December.
- Click Download
- Upload this report to Heard.
Please note that both the Balance report and the Payout reconciliation report are needed for year end documents.
If you use Stripe through SimplePractice or Stripe Express
Some Stripe accounts do not have access to download these reports:
- SimplePractice: If you solely use Stripe through your SimplePractice account, you only need to upload the SimplePractice Annual Financial Activity Report.
- Stripe Express: Stripe Express is a limited version of Stripe that some platforms use to pay out connected accounts. It does not provide access to the standard Stripe Dashboard, where these reports are hosted, so they cannot be downloaded. A Stripe Express account provides only a 1099 form.
In both cases, the Stripe document requests in the Complete Year-End Bookkeeping module can be marked as "Not Relevant" to continue.
- Click the checkbox to mark "Not Relevant".
- In the pop-up box, you can select:
- Reason: I haven't used this vendor in 2025
-
Context: I use Stripe through SimplePractice or I use Stripe Express
- Click Confirm Not Relevant.
