Overview
This article will cover how to pay your quarterly tax estimate and mark it as paid in Heard. You can mark it as paid, enter the payment amount, enter the payment date, and upload the receipt. This payment information is used to calculate future quarters and annual taxes.
How to mark the current quarter as paid

Federal
- From your Heard account, go to Taxes>Quarterly
- Click View Details & Pay to see the "Federal Tax Estimate Breakdown."
- On the right side, click View & Pay for instructions on How to Pay.
- Click Continue to payment to be redirected to a new window to the IRS website to complete the payment.
- Return to Heard and click Mark as paid
- In the "Update Tax Payment - Federal" pop-up window.
- "Have you submitted your estimated quarterly tax payment?" click Yes or No.
- "How much did you pay?" Enter the amount you actually paid.
- "When did you pay?" Enter the date of payment.

"Attach Receipt" click +Upload Receipt.
- From the pop-up, Click the Select Documents button.
- Attach a copy of your Confirmation of Payment, then Click Upload.
- Click Update
State
- From your Heard account, go to Taxes>Quarterly
- Click View & Pay.
- Click Continue to payment to be redirected to a new window to your state's website to complete the payment.
- Return to Heard and click Mark as paid.
- In the "Update Tax Payment - State" pop-up window.
- "Have you submitted your estimated quarterly tax payment?" click Yes or No.
- "How much did you pay?" Enter the amount you actually paid.
- "When did you pay?" Enter the date of payment.
- "Attach Receipt" click +Upload Receipt.
- Click Update.
How to update prior quarter payments
- From your Heard account, go to Taxes>Quarterly.
- At the top of the page, click the Payment History tab.
- Select the appropriate “Quarter.”
- Select Federal or State.
- Click Update Payment.
- If you have submitted your quarterly tax payment, Click Yes.
- Enter the amount paid and the date of payment.
- Click the + Upload Receipt button.
- From the pop-up, Click the Select Documents button.
- Attach a copy of your Confirmation of Payment, then Click Upload.
- Click Update.
