Overview
You will need to be registered in each state where you have payrolled employees. You'll start with the state where you reside and complete any additional state registrations that may be necessary. This document outlines the steps to register.
Registering in states where you have employees
You have two choices:

- Register yourself using the instructions in Gusto's Help Center
Let Gusto register for you
Registering with a state agency can be a significant amount of work, but Gusto's partnership with CorpNet can help alleviate some of the burden. They work directly with the agency, so you can skip the hassle of registering yourself, Learn more about CorpNet.
You'll need to log in to your Gusto.com account and use CorpNet for your state registration. If you're not sure how to log in, click this link and select "I forgot my password" to reset your password. You'll need to enter the same email address you provided earlier in the onboarding process, then click the Send link to reset your password and sign in to your existing Gusto account.
