Overview
Heard is partnering with Taxfyle to provide health and wellness practitioners with access to licensed tax preparers nationwide to prepare their tax returns this annual tax season. We’re excited about this partnership because we believe that by tapping into this vast network of over 7,000 licensed CPAs, practitioners will receive quality, 1:1 tax preparation and have their tax returns filed on time.
Who is Taxfyle?
Taxfyle is an online tax filing platform with access to over 7,000 licensed CPAs and EAs nationwide, averaging 12 years of experience in US state and federal tax preparation. Founded in 2015, Taxfyle supports individuals, small businesses, CPA firms, and more by filing their taxes compliantly, confidently, and conveniently.
Why is Heard partnering with Taxfyle?
The Heard Team has learned from the past that resourcing for tax season is critical to a good experience for everyone. With a network of over 7,000 licensed CPAs, Taxfyle can provide the resourcing that practitioners need for a personalized, quality tax preparation and filing experience.
What will this tax season look like for me?
- Heard works with Taxfyle to designate a tax preparer to prepare and file your tax return(s).
- When it comes time to start preparing your taxes, you will complete year end bookkeeping and the Tax Questionnaire before connecting with a Tax Preparer.
- You'll be able to chat with your designated tax preparer in the Annual Tax Center.
- This new messaging section will lead you to Taxfyle's chat portal, where you and your tax preparer will communicate as needed. This portal will open up in a new window from your Heard profile.
How does Taxfyle ensure it works with quality tax preparers?
Taxfyle only works with U.S. based, licensed CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) and EAs (Enrolled Agents).
An important note: Together, the Heard Team and your designated tax preparer will ensure that all relevant tax deductions and credits have been accounted for on your tax return.
What if my tax situation is complicated? How will my tax preparer address my specific concerns?
Heard will take preliminary steps to compile all your essential bookkeeping and tax information for your tax preparer once tax preparation begins. These steps include completing a year-end bookkeeping review and the tax questionnaire, which capture all the specific, necessary details of your practice’s finances (and personal finances, for some).
If you need additional support at any point in the tax preparation process, please feel free to reach out to Support via Messages.
Is there an additional cost to filing with Taxfyle?
No, there are no additional costs for filing your taxes with Taxfyle if tax preparation and filing are included with your Heard subscription.
Will I have to download Taxfyle's software?
You won't have to download anything to use Taxfyle.
Will I have to create my own login to use Taxfyle?
No. You'll continue using Heard as per usual.
Why can't I connect with a Tax Preparer yet?
Once you've completed the Tax Questionnaire and final bookkeeper review, Heard will submit all your documentation to the Tax Preparer. At that point, you'll have access to the chat portal to communicate directly with them. For more, see 2025 Annual Tax Overview with Heard.
How can I contact my tax preparer?
You may communicate with your tax preparer through the chat portal, where you'll send messages, approve or reject tax return drafts, etc.
- From your Heard dashboard, click Respond to tax preparer.
- From Taxes>Annual, click Respond in Chat.
If I have a question about my tax return, who do I reach out to?
